August 22 Wednesday

  • PSI CORR: The CORR TE was showing errors and the signal was measured at the in put to the correlator and at the CRD for comparison. No issues with the TE were found, and wiggling cables showed no faulty connections or changes to the TE signal shown on an oscilloscope. The QCC card was finally power cycled and all TE errors were not found afterwards. - Gene, Drew, Tzu, Juan Pablo
  • AEC ATF!: The AEC ACU has failed the reboot process. After pushing the reset button, the ACU starts a normal boot process, but then fails to move forward after showing ' RESETTING ELEVATION DRIVES' on the screen. The Az drives apparently reset OK, as the boot screen shows this step. The ACU was rebooted to potentially fix an issue of OPENBRIK not being able to bring the elevation drives out of shutdown mode. The minicom screen would only show that the drives were not ready, and that the current job was to power up the drive motors. Numerous command attempts were unable to remedy the situation - Drew, Gene

The AEC antenna was able to be moved to commanded positions, as well as tracking objects moving at the sidereal rate. The previous oscillations of the antenna was not felt at several locations tested - Drew, Peter, Roberto
  • CLO ATF: The newly repaired ML PC was installed in the ML rack and auto lock testing was started - Sarmad

August 8 Wednesday Partly Cloudy

  • CIPT ATF: CIPT was here to test more of the array timing. Various efforts were also made on other issues.
  • CIPT ATF: Labview seems to fail occasionally at the ATF. The problem occurs when part of the computing software hangs, and does not clear itself. The solution (for now) is to use the OMC to find the 'Control/ACC/pythonContainer' in the TreeInfo? window, right click on it, and send a shutdown command. When the container with the same name goes red in the ACATree window, wait a few seconds and then right click it there and issue a start container command. It should then turn green when it is again operational. Labview should be operational after this. - Jeff, Drew
